Numeric Constants

This section describes internal numeric constants. This is useful for reverse engineering and may help understanding Config.

Star colors

  • 0 - blue

  • 1 - white

  • 2 - yellow

  • 3 - orange

  • 4 - red

  • 5 - brown

  • 6 - black hole (internally black holes are stored as stars)

Player IDs

Players are given IDs from 0 to 7. Non-player entities can use pseudo-IDs for technical reasons. Each non-player ship has such ID ccodring to its type.

  • 8 - antaran ships

  • 9 - The Guardian of Orion

  • 10 - Space Amoeba

  • 11 - Space Crystal

  • 12 - Space Dragon

  • 13 - Space Eel

  • 14 - Space Hydra

Race IDs

Each population unit has a race. Player IDs 0-7 are used to encode races. Race can be different than colony owner player ID. For example population unit of race 5 will have racial traits from player 5, even when colony is owned by another player (they will even mutate if player 5 develops evolutionary mutation). Non-player population units have special race values:

  • 8 - androids

  • 9 - native population units
